Scheduling an appointment
You can make an appointment by calling our clinic, coming in-person during regular business hours or scheduling an appointment online. Please have the following information ready when you make your appointment.
- Name and birth date;
- Whether you are a new or returning patient;
- Daytime phone number;
- Reason for appointment;
- Preferred date for appointment;
What to bring to an appointment
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early for your scheduled appointment to allow for updating of information.
- Insurance information;
- Co-payment;
- List of your medications and their dosages;
- List of supplements or herbs you are taking and their dosages;
- Signed permission slip from a parent or guardian if a child is accompanied by someone other than their parent or legal guardian;
- Current medical records, if you are a new patient or have not received care from EFMC in past three years;
- Contact information for previous health care provider, if you do not have current medical records.
Paying for Your Care
Are you planning to travel to the Bahama? Ensure to take out medical travel insurance while away to avoid costly medical fees in the event of accident.
NHI
National Health Insurance (NHI) Bahamas aims to ensure that all Bahamians and legal residentscan receive health care. National Health Insurance Bahamas (NHI Bahamas), in its initial phase of coverage, covers Primary Health Care services. Persons do not have to pay at point of service for Primary Care, including no copay, deductible or new tax when enrolled with a Primary Health Care Provider, either in the public or private sector.

We accept most major private insurance plans including; Colina, Atlantic Medical, National Health Insurance, BahamaHealth and BAF.

Canceling an appointment
It is important that you notify us when you are unable to keep your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, this will allow us to offer your appointment slot to another patient.
